Alice Ross

Alice Ross, 95, was born on November 6, 1930, in Gilbert, Arkansas to Benjamin Knife and Bertha May Branch. She had two brothers and four sisters who preceded her in death except for one, Bea Ross of Rossville, Kansas.

She passed quietly on November 30, 2025 at Truman Lake Manor.

Alice was married to the love of her life, Billie Joe Ross for 52 years until his passing in 2003.

From this union, they had three children. Lowell (Shirley) Ross of Independence, Birdena (Ron) Davis of Lowry City, and Terry Ross who preceded her in death.

Although Alice loved her children, her favorite role was that of a grandparent. She was loved by 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren whom she love playing games with spoiling.

Alice worked outside of the home briefly, but her main job was homemaker.

She will always be remembered for her love of scratching lottery tickets, playing rummy and poker and singing Karaoke, trying to get everyone to sing with her when could and her big heart.

We could not have asked for a better mother and will miss her every day.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who love her.

Alice’s service will be on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation is from 12:30 to 1:30 with funeral to follow.
