Anne Kay Brooks, 73, Holt MO passed away peacefully surrounded by her family January 18th 2026 at Liberty Hospital. Anne was born on September 24th 1952 in Fort Benning GA to Robert and Joyce (Ricenbaw) Parmley.

She and her family later moved to Liberty. Anne was a 1970 graduate of Liberty High School. After high school Ann worked as a bookkeeper for a ladies wholesale clothing company in Kansas City and also worked briefly for Hallmark Cards. She found her true calling as a teacher's aide and dedicated many years to the Parents Day Out program at the Holt United Methodist Church, where she nurtured and cared for many young lives.

On March 10, 1972, her friends arranged a blind date where she met the love of her life, John A. Brooks Jr. They were united in marriage on March 16, 1974. Anne and John shared a passion for music and enjoyed attending rock concerts together. Her favorite band was, notably, the Bee Gees.

Anne is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, John Brooks Jr.; her children, Kimberley Babcock (John) and Justin Brooks; her grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah; and her three sisters, Beth (Everett), Cathy, and Dana.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, located at 1640 Route 291 Highway, Liberty, MO 64068. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Internment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
