Antonio Paul-Allen Ramirez

January 17, 1971 — May 27, 2026

Independence

Antonio Paul-Allen Ramirez, (Tony), was born on January 17, 1971 and died of natural causes at home on May 27, 2026. Tony is survived by his parents, Charles and Carol Ramirez; two sons, Malin Ramirez and Mesan Bailey and a grandson Alec Ramirez; and his sister Lupe Ramirez and Vincent Muzquiz; Former wife Debbie Ramirez and friend Michelle Bailey.

He was a creative person in art in both two- and three-dimensional forms. His family has many pieces on display in the home which have received numerous compliments.

He was also gifted mechanically. When he was twelve, he wanted a new sporty bicycle. His parents did not want to buy that, so he found a discarded bike, found some spare parts and built the bicycle he wanted. He had an innate gift for figuring out how to fix things and his family depended on him to repair whatever broke down. Saved a lot of money on repair costs.

Tony was an avid runner in his youth. When he was going to enter high school as a freshman, he ran past some varsity cross-country runners who were doing a practice run. The coach saw that and invited him to apply for the cross-country team. Tony was a four-year varsity cross country runner for Raytown High School. After high school, he ran several marathons in Kansas City and in Chicago.

Tony was also a member of the Kansas City Bicycle club and participated in two 150-mile rides across Missouri with the club.

Tony had an open heart for the homeless and was very generous in giving food and clothing to those in need. He once invited a person who was suffering frostbite to share Christmas dinner with the family.

Tony's pure heart and actions are a lasting reminder to cherish every moment and live and love with purpose. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund at Shelter KC.
