Arlis Frank Stegink Jr ,age 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2022 at 1:02 Pm surrounded by his family. Born July 14, 1947, to Arlis F. Stegink Sr. and Jacqueline Higbee, both deceased. He was known to most as “Skip". Skip was a loving, giving person that enjoyed life. After graduating from Oak Park High school , he joined the Army and served our country proudly during the Vietnam War and was Honorably discharged in 1968. He loved serving people and enjoyed his work as a food salesman; working for Mid Central Fish Co, Mid Central Sysco, Lady Baltimore, Pisciotta's, and retired with Sysco Foods

For years, Skip was Santa delivering happiness and gifts to people across the city. After retirement he worked for North Kansas City school bus system as a para. He was loved by many and could always find humor in any situation. He was faithful to God and the Catholic Church and served as a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. Skip loved being with his family and friends and up until he got sick you could find him most days on a golf course or at his lake house fishing or hunting with his family. Skip’s most precious gift was the birth of his grandson Matt. Skip is survived by his wife, Linda Stegink, his daughter, Michele Antonopoulos and her husband Michael, his son Matthew Stegink and wife Nichole, his grandson Matt, his sisters, Arlinda Smith, Jackie Sherbo, Karen Vermillion, and Jamie Humphrey, many nieces and nephews and two former step children Lori Buckingham and Kenny Buckingham. Arlis is welcomed to heaven and proceeded in death by his parents, in- laws, and brother.

Services will be held at January 22, 2022 at Nativity of Mary Parish in Independence, Missouri. Visitation will be held at 10AM funeral will be held at 11AM immediately following.
