Arsie Rowe

November 9, 1944 — August 30, 2025

Deaconess Arsie Mae Rowe (Simon) was born November 9, 1944, to James Simon and Katie Williams (Burks) she was raised by her mother and Willie Burks, her beloved stepfather. 

Arsie graduated from Cotton Plant High School and was the oldest of a host of brothers and sisters, some of which preceded her in death. Arsie married William Henry Rowe in 1966 and gave life to four children from this union, Stephanie Rowe-Landrum (Kenneth), William Edward Rowe, Audrey Beard, and Jason Rowe. 

Arsie was a dedicated family woman that loved gardening, cooking, decorating, and to celebrating holidays with her family. Arsie was a devoted member of Genesis Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lesley and Regina Winfield, in which she dedicated her time serving as a member of the Deaconess Board. 

Arsie was loved by many and leaves to cherish her memory her husband William Rowe, her four children Stephanie, William, Audrey, and Jason, her grandchildren Jamesia Manning (Roy), Lamont Rowe (Asia), Jasmine Nance, Joscelyn Nance, Stacy Nance, Terrence Nance Jr., Keysha Sanders, Alisha Rowe, Kenneth Landrum Jr., and Jerome Rowe which preceded her in death as well as brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
