Bennett Noelle Roberts

December 23, 1970 — November 22, 2025

Gilbert, AZ

Bennett Noelle Roberts, 54, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly from heart complications on November 22, 2025. Bennett was born on December 23,1970, at Tachikawa Air Force Base in Tokyo, Japan, the second of seven children. Born into an Air Force family, Bennett spent her youth moving around every few years to locales such as North Carolina, Missouri, Illinois, Virginia, Utah, Italy, and California. She made friends easily and often organized activities and games for her siblings and neighborhood kids. After graduating from Center High School in Antelope, California, Bennett attended college in Utah, at both Utah Valley State College and Brigham Young University. She cheered for the Cougars her whole life. Taking a break from her education, Bennett served an 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cape Town, South Africa. This was a great time in her life as her faith in Jesus Christ and her love for serving others grew.

Following her mission, she returned to BYU and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Film. Bennett’s early career took her to Wyoming and Indiana as she worked in public broadcasting. Eventually desiring to live closer to family, she settled in Gilbert, Arizona, near her brother and sister. Bennett has always had a gift for connecting with children and teens and discovered a love for education. She earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education and teaching certificate from the University of Phoenix and a second Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. She worked as a teacher for 15 years and made a tremendous impression on her students and fellow educators. She made learning fun and especially supported kids with learning challenges. Her nieces and nephews will always remember her attending their games, plays, and recitals. If it was important to them, it was important to her. Her talent for making friends has brought wonderful people to her life. She enjoyed attending plays, dinners out, and game nights with friends.

Bennett had a love for music and movies and could always be counted on for a great movie quote. She often had a camera in her hands (and a selfie stick in the later years!). She was so good at capturing memories and sharing photos and videos with others. She will be remembered for her selfless service to her family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers — always leaving people better than she found them.

Bennett is survived by her parents, Duane and Susan; and her six siblings: Aaron (Kim) of San Diego, California, Matt (Julie) of Gilbert, Arizona, Mary (Eric) Winters of Mesa, Arizona, Anne of Monroe, Utah, Susanna (Brian) Smith of Green Ridge, Missouri, and Benjamin (Kimberly) of Monroe, Utah. She is adored by her 21 nieces and nephews.
