Betty Nadine Davison, 98, died on May 20, 2023 in Shelbina, Missouri.  She was born to Mary E. and Roy C. Willis on June 21, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri.  She graduated from Center High School in 1943 where she worked in the school library and was active in the glee club. Nadine married Vernon Davison on September 25, 1945 and was married for 65 years until his death. They had three children, six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, and organizing class reunions. She was a good cook that rarely measured ingredients and her pies and angel food cakes never lasted long. Nadine was an avid KU basketball and Royals baseball fan. She was a member of the Marlborough Baptist Church and for many years taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School to young children. After Vernon’s retirement they went on many bus trips around the country. In her later years she loved reading James Patterson, Agatha Christie, and Janet Evanovich mystery novels and watching John Wayne movies. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernon, three siblings, son-in-law Bob Kent, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by son Dean (Sue) of Louisburg, Kansas, daughter Betty Kent of Greenwood, Missouri, son Leonard (Lynn) of Hunnewell, Missouri; grandchildren Amy Vail, Lindy Rhodes, David Kent, Cyndie Pittman, Robert Kent, and Angie Parker; 14 great grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Friday, May 26 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64138. Burial will be in Belton Cemetery, Belton, Missouri following services.
