Bonnie Jean Higgins

 

Bonnie Jean (Griffith) Higgins 86 of Liberty, Missouri was born on November 21, 1937 in St. Joseph, Missouri.  She passed away at Liberty Hospital on January 10, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Francis Griffith, her father Leland Wade Griffith, and her husband Asa Higgins.  She is survived by her two sisters Janet Lyle, Phyllis Johnson and their children, her three children Dana Dye, Linda Hasapes and her husband Frank Hasapes, Bryan Dye and his wife Jodi Dye.  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.  She graduated William Jewell College with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  She owned and managed Ace Personnel until she retired.  She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and the Clay County Historical Society & Museum.  She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, and researching genealogy.  She touched the lives of many, was an inspiration to those who knew her, was loved, and will be dearly missed.

 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Bonnie’s life at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 16, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.  Interment in Lathrop Cemetery.
