Buel Ray McDonald Sr, passed away at KC Hospice house with his family by his side on October 20, 2024 at 88 years old.
He will be loved and missed by his two sons Buel Jr and wife Tammy, Brian and wife Sherry, along with Grandsons Brian, Josh, Randy, Mitch, Jake McDonald and Joshua Fast. Along with his granddaughters Kristina McKee, Megan McDonald, Kaitlyn Crabtree, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. His brother Wayne and sister Bulah.
Buel was born in Rupert, Arkansas to Delbert and Mary McDonald on April 2 1936. Buel married Patsy Ruth Vaughn on November 10, 1956 and were married for 64 years. He enlisted in the Army as a young man serving his country as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God church and loved to serve in anyway that was needed, car shows, church dinners, youth fundraisers. He also loved to sing about Jesus at any opportunity. He listened to gospel and country music. Loved all the grandkids and would attend many of their functions. His lifelong work was in brick masonry all around the Kanas City area mostly in residential. Bricklaying was in the family for generations even to a grandson today.
Buel was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Mary McDonald, wife Patsy, two granddaughters Amanda and Sarah McDonald, brothers Opie, Bobby and James McDonald, sister Ruth Brock.
In lieu of flowers you may give a gift to Kansas City Hospice or to Calvary Assembly of God church in memory of Buel.
