Charles "Woodie" Woodson

Charles “Woodie” Woodson, born August 14, 1935 in Leonville, Louisiana, passed away April 9, 2023 from Alzheimer’s Disease and a stroke.  Woodie was a Master Sergeant at Richards Gebaur Air Base in Belton, Missouri.  He worked in Air Tower Control and was in the U.S. Air Force for over 41 years.  Charles also served overseas.  When Richards Gebaur Air Base closed, Woodie retired and went to work at Walmart in Raymore, Missouri for 23 years.  He leaves behind his significant other of 43 years, Gerry Smith; daughter Wanda Woodson; daughter Karen Bushmann; son Gary Woodson; son Jerry Woodson; sons David Woodson; sister Jessie Lanclos of Bridge City, Louisiana; brother Harry Woodson of Apelousas, Louisiana; cousin Flo and Dale McClelland of Lafayette, Louisiana; and many grandchildren, friends and neighbors.  Burial / Cremation.
