Charles "Charlez" Lynn Wey, 67, of Independence, Missouri passed away on May 28, 2026.

He was born September 19, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Charles Leslie Wey and Claradean M. (Hazeslip) Myers.

Charlez leaves behind his partner of the home Paula R. Mittan, his extended family, and many friends.

He attended JC Harmon High School in Kansas City, Kansas then joined the Army for a brief period. He worked as a silk screen printer before retiring in 2005.

He loved fishing, camping, gardening, and anything outdoors. Always looking for a good deal at garage and estate sales. He was an avid woodworker and loved making items to decorate his yard and those for his friends and family.

Coin collecting became his recent hobby and was always on the hunt at antique stores for that one "he just had to have".

When he wasn't outdoors he loved watching old Westerns and his favorite Gunsmoke television show.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10-11:30 AM at Park Lawn Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be Thursday June 4, 2026, at 11:30 AM in Green Lawn Cemetery.
