Charlotte Carole Drayer (Easterly), 87, died peacefully on September 23rd, 2026.

Charlotte was born on March 17th, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri to Andy and Rose Easterly. She graduated from Central High in 1957. Charlotte then married Donald Drayer, her high school sweetheart in 1957.

After moving to Independence MO, Charlotte began working for Western Electric, then she went on to work at Kornfeld Thorp Electric along with her husband as an office clerk.

Once she and her husband started their family, she began what she felt was her most important work of all, that of a mother and homemaker. They had three children together and Charlotte set about teaching them about God, how to always be kind and treat others how we wanted to be treated.

She was an amazing woman, and an amazing cook! Her children remember her as loving, gentle, patient, compassionately driven and strong-willed. She was a generous, outgoing, witty, and dedicated individual. She loved her husband and family so deeply.

She had a knack for decorating her home and making dresses for her daughter and their dolls! Charlotte was brought up Baptist and attended Broadway Baptist Church for most of her life.

Charlotte is proceeded in death by her parents Andy George Easterly Sr and Rose Lucille Easterly, of Odessa, MO. Her brother Andy George Easterly Jr of Independence, MO.

She is survived by her husband Don Drayer of Lee’s Summit, MO. Her three children; Doug (and Diane) Drayer, Kimberly (and Glenn) Hays, and Kelly Gervy.

Her six grandchildren; Lacy Walker, Libby (and Gabe) Taube, Dustin (and Natalee) Drayer, Morgan Gervy, Justin Gervy, and Trevor Gervy. Plus, one honorary grandchild, Amber Hays.

She is survived by three great-grandchildren: Lilah Walker, Atticus Taube, and Jaxson Smoot. Plus, three honorary great-grandchildren; Skyler Taube, Renada Garrett and River Garrett.
