Clarence Tracy Jr., 73, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on July 31, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 19, 1952, in Liberty, Missouri, and was a graduate of Richmond High School, Class of 1970. Clarence married his High School Sweetheart and love of his life Marsha Hendrix June 25, 1971.
He was drafted in 1971 proudly serving his country in Vietnam. Clarence continued to serve in the United States Army until 1980 . During his military service, he pursued further education and became an Air Traffic Controller. His children and grandchildren always knew how deeply he love them.
Clarence was known for his talents in home remodeling, woodworking, and crafting welding art. He dedicated his time to volunteering with the Veterans Organizations, American Legion in Independence, MO. He was a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders providing support for veterans. Clarence was a Christian and attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Mildred Tracy, sister, Betty Zumwalt, as well as his brothers Harold Wayne and Jack Tracy and two infant brothers
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Marsha Tracy, his daughter, Amber Henson (Rob), his son, Cory (Denise) Tracy. His grandchildren include Hallie Tracy, Karlie Tracy, Kayden Tracy, Grace Tracy, Jade Henson, and Rowan Henson, He is also survived by his brother, Rick Ellis Tracy, his devoted dog, Millie, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, located at 1640 Route 291 Highway, Liberty, Missouri 64068. Officiating the service will be Mark Chastain, John Chapman, and Kevin Sanders. Interment services with Military Honors will follow at 1:30 PM at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either Samaritan’s Purse or Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
