Cheri L. Combs

Cheri Lynn Combs, 70, passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2022, with loved ones at her side. She died on Valentine's Day, joining her husband, CMSgt Bennie Combs in their eternal home.

Cheri was born December 7, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Bennie Combs and they were together 46 years until his death in 2016. She was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. James parish in Liberty, MO.

Along with her husband Bennie, Cheri was preceded in death by her mother, Annette (Bonello) Bales; father, Redman F. Bales; sister, Katherine Krumbine; a niece and a nephew.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Thomas, Amy Reeves and Carrie Combs (Chad Gevers); grandchildren, Alexandra, Brittany, Joseph, Alexis, Kelsey and Haylee; great grandchildren, Brayden, Ava, Ellie, Logan, Greyson, Graham and Adeline; sister, Cynthia Preator (Carmen Stallings); brother, Robert King; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will hold a private celebration of Cheri's life. Burial will be at a later date in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.
