Connie Lynn Little, cherished friend and retired insurance agent, passed away peacefully at her home, exactly where she wanted to be on March 31, 2026, at the age of seventy-seven.
Born on November 16, 1948, in Champaign, Illinois, Connie was the daughter of Franklin Casner Little and Mary Genevieve Shirley and grew up in Boswell Indiana where she was the youngest of 6 children.
A graduate of Central Missouri State College (now University), she began her career as a gym teacher and coach, sharing her love of sports with young people. She later moved to Kansas City and found her professional calling in property and casualty insurance, working most of her career at the Embry & Company Insurance Agency where she advanced to Vice-President of the agency.
Her strong work ethic and dedication to customer service earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike. She was a person of honesty and integrity paying meticulous attention to the details of her customers’ accounts and needs.
Connie was known for her beautiful smile, warm humor, kind heart, and her caring nature. She was incredibly organized using those skills to take care of her mother and two of her sisters over the years. She offered stability, support, and a steady presence to those she cared for. Her faith was a source of comfort and strength throughout her life, and those who love her take solace in knowing she is now at peace.
She handled so many physical setbacks with grace and, by her example, she taught us strength, humility, perseverance, and acceptance. She will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the love she gave and the laughter she shared with family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Connie, you will be profoundly missed, cherished in the hearts of those who love you, and never forgotten.
Connie is survived by her twin sister, 3 nieces and her cherished “family” – her chosen family of long-time friends that shared a deep, trusting and emotional bond
