To honor and celebrate Cindy’s beautiful life, family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel (1640 N. Rt 291 Hwy, Liberty, MO 64068). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the chapel. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty. Following the burial, all are welcome to share memories and fellowship at a reception held at the Taylor Family Orchard (101 Crawford St., Liberty, MO). In lieu of flowers, the family gently suggests making a donation in Cindy’s honor to the Hope Lodge in St. Louis, Missouri, or to the American Cancer Society. Cynthia “Cindy” Kay Johnson, 73, Liberty, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, May 16, 2026. Cindy was born November 12, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to Oliver Lewis and Juanita Mae (Bloss) McNeece. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1970. After many years in the work force before she went to for AT&T as a Data Clerk. She dedicated 38 years of loyal service before retiring in 2018.
Cindy met and married the love of her life Larry Johnson in 1986. A year later they welcomed their daughter Krystal. Four years later they welcomed their son Blake.
Cindy is remembered as a humble and loving wife, mom, grandma and friend. She was an amazing cook and avid reader. She enjoyed decorating for all the season, especially for Christmas and Halloween which were her favorite holidays. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and was “the best grandma ever”. She could light up the room with her smile and sheer presence.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Juanita, her brother Allen ad her grandparents.
Cindy is survived by her husband Larry Johnson, her children Blake Johnson and Krystal Davisson and her husband DJ., grandchildren Wyatt and Zoey Davisson, step-daughter Christina Kowalik and family, brother and sister in-law, Randy and Pam Johnson, her aunt and uncle and many nieces and nephews.
