Dalin Lee Handley, age 67, a resident of Okemah, Oklahoma, passed away August 17, 2026, at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dalin was born February 7, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of David Handley and Linda (Wahl) Handley.

Dalin lived with his mother and grandmother in Independence, Missouri, where he attended school through 8* grade. Dalin was athletic and participated in baseball and football youth leagues. He was also an avid fisherman and spent spare time fishing at a local lake.

In 1972, Dalin's Mother re-married and his new family moved to Fair Oaks, California, where Dalin attended High School. During this time, Dalin developed an interest in music and began playing the guitar.

After high school, Dalin pursued employment in various construction trades throughout his adult life.

In 1979, Dalin married Kathe Klovee, and they had one son, Joseph. The marriage was short lived and Dalin spent many years afterwards as a bachelor.

In 1999, Dalin met Milaluna Dapar on an internet dating site. After corresponding for a period of time, Dalin flew to the Philippines to meet her and her family.

On December 19, 1999, Milaluna, commonly known as Miemie, flew from the Philippines to California and she and Dalin were united in marriage on December 20 of that year.

Dalin and Miemie established their home in Carson City, Nevada and lived there until 2023. During their time in Carson City, Dalin started the Handley Sign Company and operated it for several years.

When Dalin retired, he chose to move to eastern Oklahoma and they relocated to Okemah.

Dalin was preceded in death by his father, David Handley; his mother, Linda (Wahl/Handley) Turner; and his son, Joseph Handley.

Dalin is survived by his wife, Milaluna (Miemie), of the home; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; an uncle, Larry Wahl (Karen) and four cousins, Stephen, Sarah and Patricia Wahl and Suzanne Strahan, as well as other family and friends.
