Roberta M. Daniel

Roberta Mae (Nickels) Daniel, 94, of Liberty, MO, and formerly of Bonner Springs, KS, passed away November 7, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City with family at her side.

Roberta was born September 20, 1928, in Lancaster, KS, the daughter of Will and Margaret (Wempe) Nickels. She was united in marriage to Gerald Francis "Jerry" Daniel on February 20, 1949. Roberta operated American Handicraft, a craft supply business in Bonner Springs, before she retired. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Bonner Springs.

Along with her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Jerry; and son, James Daniel. Survivors include sons, John Daniel (Faith) and Robert Daniel (Pam); grandchildren, Christopher Daniel, Kimberly Traverson (RJ), Alice Powell (Bryce) and Nathan Daniel (Sarah); great grandchildren, Daisy Traverson, Amberlee Traverson and Eric Powell. Roberta is also survived by her twin sister, Robena Seevers; three nieces and their families.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Roberta's life at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, November 10, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Committal services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 15, at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.

Memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church of Bonner Springs, KS, Liberty Christian Church in Liberty, MO, or St. Luke's Hospice House.
