David Lee Baldwin, 76, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. He was born in Independence, Missouri on July 30, 1949 to the late Harvey "Bill" Baldwin and Rosalie Baldwin nee Thurman.

A life long Missouri resident, David graduated from Van Horn High School and attended Central Missouri State University. He worked for several well-known companies in the Kansas City area, including ARMCO Steel and Folgers Coffee Company. In recent years, he drove a school bus for the Lee’s Summit School District.

An Eagle Scout, David served on the staff of H. Roe Bartle Boy Scout Reservation in his youth. While there, he became a hard-way warrior of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say honor society and attained Keeper of the Sacred Bundle. He returned in retirement to serve on staff again where he taught a variety of boating merit badges at lake front. During this time, he joined the Tribal council as a Sachem.

An avid boater, he sailed at lake Jacomo where he was a member of the Jacomo Yacht Club. He served as Vice Commodore and Commodore during his time as a member. Most recently, he moved to Lake of the Ozarks where he spent much of his youth boating on the Osage River and later the lake.

He is survived by his children Philip Baldwin and Amanda Baldwin, his Grandson Taylor Baldwin, his brother James (Connie) Baldwin, sister Debbie (Bubby) Bush, brother Marty (Sandy) Davis, Uncle Floyd Brown, Aunt Linda, Aunt Pattie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

In addition to his parents David is preceded in death by: his step-mother Darlene Baldwin nee Brown, sister Janice Duncan nee Baldwin, brother Robert Baldwin, niece Brandy O’Brien, nephew David Baldwin, and grandson John Thomas Baldwin.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 1-2 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home in Kansas City. Everyone is encouraged to celebrate David’s life by sharing memories and stories from 2-3 PM at the funeral home.
