David "Dave" Alan Fazel was born on June 9, 1954 in Concordia, Kansas. He was the third of six children, to John Jr and Arlene Fazel. He passed away on May 14, 2026 at this home in Kansas City, MO. After high school, Dave joined the Marine Corp in June of 1972. He served in the 3rd Marine division, where he was rapidly promoted to Sergeant. He was named "Marine of the Month" in July 1974. He attended Cloud County Community College where he majored in Drafting. Following his Marine Corp Service, he moved to Kansas City, MO where he worked as a structural draftsman. Eventually, he would retire from the Home Depot in 2024 after over 20 years of service. Dave enjoyed processing firewood in the backyard. He was fond of watching movies at home or at the movie theater. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Earl Fazel, Jr. and Arlene Trembly; two sisters: Cynthia (Ben) Hunt, and Elaine (Ravi) Sachdeva; and his granddaughter: Sophie Fazel.He is survived by his loving children: Andy Fazel and Alison (Andy) Welch; grandchildren: Lucas, Scarlett, Alex, Spencer, Sam, and James; his sister: Linda Fazel of Charlotte, NC, and his brothers: Thomas (Cheryl) Fazel of Wichita, KS and Mike (Cindy) Fazel of Concordia, KS; as well as many other family and friends.A military honors service will be held at a later time. Donations may be made to the Children's Mercy Heart Center or the American Heart Association.
