David Earl Jackson

David Earl Jackson, 83, of Liberty, MO, went to be with his Lord on October 27, 2023.

          David was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, the fifth of six children of Willis Everett and Virginia Mae (Chrislip) Jackson.  David grew up in East Liverpool and graduated from Chester High School in Chester, WV where he played football.  He was united in marriage to Monnie Ann Kenney on July 10, 1959, and they were blessed with four children. 

          David and Monnie moved to Kansas City in 1963, and later to Liberty in 1977.  He worked many years for Ford Motor Company at Claycomo, retiring as a Utility Upgrader.  He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ for more than 40 years. David was a fan of all sports, especially football, NASCAR, and stock car racing (he owned his own!).  In later years, he enjoyed playing horseshoes with his friends at Stockdale Park in Liberty.

          Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Monnie; and four siblings, Joanne, Everett Willis “Junior”, Terry, and Charles.

          Survivors include four children, Debbie Steenstry (Jon), Jeffrey Jackson (Cheryl), Donna Mathiasch (Bob), and Addie Trial (Justin); 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.  He also leaves his last remaining sibling, sister Judy Timmons (Terry); as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

          Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, followed by a service celebrating David’s life at noon, on Tuesday, October 31, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.  Burial in New Hope Cemetery.
