Deborah Elizabeth Wells Laing passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri where she resided for the past five years. Deborah was seventy-five years old at the time of her passing.

She was a graduate of Taft Union High School in Taft, California where she spent her childhood years. Deborah married Randall William Laing on May 19, 1990 in San Clemente, California.

Deborah was a loving member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all her life. Deborah and Randall were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on July 20, 1991.

The couple lived in Oceanside, California while both Deborah and Randall worked for Endevco, where Deborah was a Document Clerk for over 15 years before her retirement.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Ellis Wells and Mabel Hill Wells, as well as her husband, Randall William Laing. She is survived by her two older brothers and their wives, Roger Ellis and Janice Udall Wells, and Ivan Russell and Barbara Ann Mattick Wells, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deborah’s graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on November 12, 2026 at El Toro Memorial Park in Orange County Cemetery District.

Deborah’s family would like to express their appreciation to the hospital staff and hospice caregivers for their kind and gentle care and for making Deborah’s last days on this earth comfortable and peaceful.
