Diane Elizabeth Lines, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully while in the Care of North Care Hospice House their loving team, on April 22, 2025, in Kansas City at the age of 76.
Born on June 23, 1948, in California to Dorothy Lay and Stephen Schley, Diane lived a life full of warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She was a breast cancer survivor whose resilience and spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Diane is survived by her loving children—daughters Danielle Beaver and Michelle Lohmeyer, and son Brian Jacobson—along with their spouses Mike Beaver, Bob Lohmeyer, and Poy Jacobson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Taylor Schwab, Makayla Beaver, Xavier, Kianna, and Tristan Jacobson, and her great-grandchildren Liam and Harper Schwab, and best friend/care giver Kenny Lines, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She was known for her green thumb, her competitive spirit at the bowling alley, and her passionate support for Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, and NASCAR. Above all else, Diane's greatest source of happiness was her family, who she loved fiercely and supported unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Stephen Lethem.
A family graveside services will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Celebration of life to follow in the coming weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Diane’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Research Foundation, supporting continued efforts in breast cancer research.
Diane will be deeply missed forever in our hearts. Diane legacy lives on in every flower that blooms, every game-day cheered and every moment we hold each other a little closer.
