Diane Lee Schmidt

          Diane Lee (Bogdan) Schmidt, 78, of the Kansas City Northland, passed peacefully on December 29, 2023, with family at her side.

          Diane was born September 2, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the eldest of three children of Steve and Dorothy Bogdan. Her parents preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Dennis Lee Schmidt in 1972, and they are blessed with two children, Jason and Jill.

          Diane leaves her husband of 51 years, Dennis; children and spouses, Jason Schmidt and Margaret Richards, and Jill and Scott Mullen; grandchildren, Colin and Rebecca Schmidt, Ashley, Abigail, and Brady Mullen; siblings, Sharon Zentner and Steve Bogdan and his wife Lynn; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Diane was a devoted wife, mom, and “Daboo” or “Grandma” to her five grandchildren.  She loved her children and grandchildren and was always a source of inspiration in their lives. 

          Diane’s family will celebrate her life privately.
