Donald “Don” G. Chapin, 90, of Mosby MO, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 23rd, 2026. He was born to the late John and Fern Chapin on September 02, 1935.
Donald was kind, caring, and understanding. He loved his families and was always there to support and encourage them.
In his younger days, he loved riding motorcycles, racing, and running to the Hang out Tavern with his identical twin brother, Ron.
He was a wonderful father and enjoyed thrifting and spending weekends with daughter, Donna, as well as doing swap and shop.
Don and Babe were married for over fourty years and built a beautiful life together.
He was Andrea, Melissa, and Katie’s #1 fan and greatly supported her singing. He attended sports events and games for all his granddaughters, as well as his great grandchildren and could always be counted on to be in the stands cheering them on.
The last 25 years were spent with Angel, raising Axel and Stormy. They enjoyed traveling, and simple nights at home, enjoying competition shows, and taking care of the neighborhood.
He loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals, as well as Julia Roberts.
He will be greatly missed by those that love him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; as well as his widow: Annette “Babe” Chapin; three brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his daughter: Donna (Kent) Kavanaugh and their children: Andrea (Jerry) Zach and their children: Bailey, McKenna, Avery, and Dylan; Melissa (Logan) Jackson and their daughter: Adriana, and Katie (Daniel) Rausch and their children: Karson, Kinsley, and Killian; his life partner: Angel Rose and her children: Axel (Alyssa) Rose’s child: Adelaide, and Stormy (Caleb) Dowdell; and Stormy’s children: Riley, and Frank as well as their children; his beloved twin brother: Ron Chapin; and many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
