Donnell Jackson

Mr. Donnell Shirrell Jackson was born on November 4, 1964, to Donald & Delores Jackson (Broughton) in Kansas City, MO. Donnell received his wings on January 12, 2025, at 60 years old. Donnell attended Ladd Elementary, Bingham Junior High & Southwest High School. At an early age Donnell discovered his talent in baseball positioned at 2nd base & short stop. Donnell was a self-taught drummer. He developed his skills by joining Zellanette’s Drill Team where he became Captain of the drumline. He enjoyed traveling & performing in parades. Donnell worked a variety of jobs & became a Sous-Chef working at 5-star restaurants. He loved listening to music & playing pool. He enjoyed doing landscape & would often take care of his elderly neighbor’s yard until his health declined. Donnell is preceded in death by his mother Delores Jackson, sister Chanita Roebuck, maternal grandparents, Lafayette Sr. & Juanita Broughton; uncle, Lafayette Broughton Jr.; paternal grandparents Willie & Georgia Jackson. Donnell leaves to cherish his memory with his father Donald Jackson (Sharon) of CA; stepfather Joe Bowens (Angela). His sister Sherrita Jackson & brother Joel Bowens; his 4 children, Nicole Lane, Danyelle Jackson, Diamond Jackson & Kae’Dence Jordan; 6 grandchildren, his longtime girlfriend Cheryl Minor, along with other family & friends
