Dorothy Elaine Harryman

January 10, 1939 — November 25, 2025

Fort Mill, South Carolina

Dorothy Elaine Harryman, 86, of Fort Mill, SC, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 in Pineville, NC. She was born on January 10, 1939 in Clinton, MO to the late David Hartzler and Dottie Shepherd Hartzler. Dorothy was a bright light and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her joyful presence will be deeply missed.

Dorothy graduated from Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and served as a RN for 44 years; committing her time to caring for others. She will most be remembered for her love of the Lord and how she lived out her faith for her family and friends. Dorothy’s heart full of love made a lasting impact and displayed dedication to her family. She was deeply committed to caring for others and always put the needs of her loved ones before her own. Her generosity was matched only by her strength and fight to live. She faced life’s challenges with grace, faith, and courage, always asking the Lord to give her one more year as the New Year came around. Dorothy lived by the scripture she held close to her heart, found in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Dorothy enjoyed the time she had with her Sunday school classes, Bible studies and going to church at First Baptist of Fort Mill. She loved sending cards to those who needed to be encouraged. Whether she was doing something meaningful for her family, friends, or for the people she served, her work always carried her signature touch of love and care. Dorothy was a woman of strong faith in the Lord and possessed a warrior spirit, where her fight to persevere will never be forgotten. Now she is in true freedom in Heaven with the Lord.

Dorothy is survived by her faithful and devoted husband of 50 years, Willard Harryman, her loving children, Jim Harryman (Julia), Christina Levin, Sarah Sturgis (Caleb) and Matthew Harryman (Jennifer), her adored grandchildren, Brett Harryman (Laramie), Reece Harryman (Sarah), Gunner Sturgis, Christian Ramos, and Jake Levin, treasured great-grandchildren, Ozzie, Collins and Camden, as well as sister-in-law, Kathy Hartzler, niece, Wendy Hartzler Hush, and nephews Bruce Hartzler, Mark Hartzler, Sean Magee, Doug Barnett and John Barnett. Her family will always be grateful for her loving and caring spirit that has touched and guided them in their lives.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held December 4, 2025 at Park Lawn Funeral Home located at 8251 Hillcrest Rd. in Kansas City, MO 64138. The family invites all who knew her to attend.
