Dorothy L. Moreno

Dorothy Lorene Moreno, born to Arge and Norma (Heitman) Newsome on December 17, 1937, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 16, 2025. Dorothy was known for her spunky spirit, quick wit, and her love for the simple joys of life. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, reading, and watching birds while sipping coffee on her front porch.

She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Moreno, Sr.; her children Sheryl Janeski (Mike), Lisa Orndorff (Jeff), Melanie Perez (Steve), Maria Coakley (Bill), Andrea Moreno (Keith), Anthony Moreno Jr. (Patti), Anita Waters (Bill), Chris Moreno (Ashley), and Carlos Moreno. Dorothy is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her memory.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Florez; son, Daniel Pennington; son, Michael Pennington; grandson, Dylan Florez; and daughter, Stephanie Moreno.

 In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Dorothy’s family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
