Lois M. Eib

Lois Marlene (Bierbrodt) Eib, 87, of south Kansas City, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.

Marlene was born May 22, 1934, the only child of Louis and Genevieve (Good) Bierbrodt. She grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Paseo High School.

Marlene was united in marriage to George Leland Eib on June 14, 1953, in Kansas City. They were parents to four sons, Michael, Ronald, Terry and Mark, and a daughter, Diana Lynn who died in infancy. George preceded Marlene in death on December 25, 2018.

Marlene was a Christian and active member of Colonial Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Eib, Ron Eib (Catherine), Terry Eib (Carolyn) and Mark Eib; & numerous grandchildren, Nicholas Eib (Sara), Anthony Eib, Hillary Eib, Kirsten Eib, Olivia Eib, Christopher Reiter (Tania), Christopher Sanders, Rebecca Sanders, Lauren Sanders; and numerous great grandchildren. She also leaves close family members including George’s cousins, Prudence Irwin-Brennan and John Irwin.

Marlene will be laid to rest with George at Memorial Park Cemetery. A private celebration of Marlene’s life for vaccinated family members will be announced at a later date, when COVID-19 allows.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospice House or Colonial Presbyterian Church.
