Eileen May Bennett, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026.Born on February 19, 1940, in Kansas City to Leo Roy and Mamie Thomas. On July 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to Billy Don Bennett. Together, they built a life centered around family and hard work. For over three decades, Eileen and Bill owned and operated Bill’s Sinclair in Smithville, Missouri.Eileen was a devoted member of Fairview Christian Church.She is survived by her loving children: daughters Donna (Joel) White of Smithville, Missouri; Jayne (Butch) Cook of Independence, Missouri; and son Billy (Stephanie) Bennett Jr. of Ferrelview, Missouri. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Joy (Andy) Bettis, Chris Clark (Brandy), Dustin White, Kristina Blansett (Brock) and Amanda (Joe) Turner; as well as eighteen great-grandchildren and one great- great grand daughter who brought joy to her later years. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many cherished friends.Eileen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy Don Bennett; her brother Jim Thomas; sisters Julia James and Norma Brood; and granddaughters Nicki, Christina, and Misty.Thank you to ACG Hospice and Wexford Place.In honor of Eileen’s memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
