Frances Nadine "Dee" Koesterer

Frances Nadine "Dee" Koesterer, age 69, entered eternal rest on January 19, 2026. Services will take place at St. John LaLande Catholic Parish on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, with visitation beginning at 9am, Rosary being prayed at 9:30am, followed by funeral mass beginning at 10am. Committal services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. 

Dee was born June 6, 1956, in Niangua, MO, to Francis Lavern and Flora Belle (Dinwiddie) Brown. She obtained her early education in Lebanon, MO, and moved to Florida as a teenager. She later moved to Kansas City and met her husband of 38 blessed years, Steve Koesterer. Together they raised two sons, Johnathan and Stephen, with loving care and support.

She was a devout Catholic and loved her time with her family. Traveling was important and she especially enjoyed beach time and yearly trips to Padre Island, TX. She supported her husband and her kids in all of their sporting activities, and was a daycare provider enriching the lives of nearly 100 kids in their development, establishing lifelong bonds. She valued the friendships she formed with her closest friends, and they had fun just hanging out and being together. 

Survivors include her husband, Steve, of the home, sons: Johnathan and Stephen (Natalie); brothers and sisters: Marry Osborn, Florence Bradley, Carol Jeffords, James Brown and Sherie Hamby; grandchildren: Leah and Callan.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank Brown and Flora Brown; brother, J.R. Dinwiddie.

The family would like to especially thank her many doctors, caregivers especially Dr. Kelly Alford, M.D., and the entire staff of DCI Dialysis Center in Lees Summit. Special thanks to long-time friend and companion, Geraldine Gleason.
