Frances Ann (Klink) Denny, age 91, died peacefully on April 14, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri. Frances was born on April 2, 1934 in Algona, lowa. She graduated from college with a master's degree in education. She taught in the North Kansas City School District from 1970-1995 until her retirement. Frances married Jack Denny on August 14, 1955. They met through long-distance correspondence during Jack's service in the Army. They were married for 61 1⁄2 years until Jack's death in 2017. Fran was an active member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Kansas City.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dona Vera (Coon) Klink, and by her husband, Jack Denny.
Frances is survived by her sons, Steve R. Denny (Rhonda) of Texas and Jeff R. Denny (Linda) of Liberty, Missouri; three granddaughters, Jennifer Denny (Colin McKinney) of Texas, Danielle Butler (Patrick) of Kansas City, and Jacqueline Allegro (Dominic) of Liberty; and one great grandson, Bennett McKinney. Frances is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Ortell of California and Cindy Herr of Arizona; and two brothers, Don Klink of lowa and Marvin (Kathy) Klink of Florida.
A combined burial for Jack and Frances will be at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
