Frank D. Brown, 69, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away at home on Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Raymond D. and Twila (Hillsman) Brown on August 31, 1956.
He is survived by his wife Michelle, of 51 years sons Frank (Jessica) Jr., Raymond (Kasey), and Michael Brown, 5 grandchildren: Lauren, Alexander, Brayden, Mia and Ella. His nieces Kerri Brown who lives in Australia and Stefanie (J) Rupp, and Sierra Rupp. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents Frank is preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Kenneth Brown.
Frank and Michelle met at age 14, in Westport High School marching band. They were married at age18 and immediately started their family. Frank graduated from UMKC. For more than 17 years Frank had his dream job at Payless Cashways where he was the Director of Operations. He went on to work for Sprint, retiring in 2018. He enjoyed his time spent with the love of his life, Michelle. He was a very proud Dad and often bragged about having 3 sons. Frank enjoyed spending time at shooting ranges with his oldest son Frank Jr. He was very proud that his grandson Brayden followed in his footsteps by playing the saxophone, and his grandson Alexander who played drums. Frank enjoyed his long chats and long nights with his granddaughters Mia and Ella. One of his fondest memories was introducing baby Lauren to John Wayne movies. Frank greatly enjoyed being Papa Brown to Raymond’s kids and when Raymond was named COO of Guier Fence Co. He and his youngest son Michael were always on the same wave length knowing how each other thought. The family enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas, where Frank was dubbed the “Admiral” and Michael was dubbed “Captain Vegas”.
A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 11 AM until time of service at 12 PM at Park Lawn Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
