Gary Lee Clevenger, 73, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on April 13, 2026. Born in Kansas City on June 24, 1953, to Billie Clevenger and Eileen Hardin (Walker), Gary graduated from Ruskin High School in 1971.

Gary married the love of his life, Cynthia Brooks, on June 14, 1975. Together they raised their son, Bradley Edwin Clevenger. Gary was an active member of the Belton Church of Christ and had a deep passion for model trains, history, and outer space. Above all, he cherished his role as a grandfather to Hunter and Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Eileen and Billy “Poppy” Walker, and his father and stepmother, Billie and Jane Clevenger. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cynthia Clevenger; his son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Amber Clevenger; his grandson, Hunter Clevenger; and his granddaughter and her husband, Heidi and Joshua Smith.

Visitation and services will be held at 1:00 PM on June 23, 2026, at Park Lawn Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO, followed by a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
