Gayla Beth Baker

Gayla Beth (Ferril) Baker, 69, of Liberty, MO, passed away March 27, 2023, at Liberty Hospital.

          Gayla was born January 16, 1954, in Excelsior Springs, MO, the middle of three daughters of Lewis James and Shirley Ann (Sharp) Ferril.  She grew up on a farm between Holt and Lathrop, and attended Lathrop High School.  Gayla retired from Kearney School District.

          Along with her parents, Gayla was preceded in death by her grandparents, and a son, Jonathan Morris. Survivors include her children, Avery Weathington (Brian), Audrey Watkins (Earnie), Cody Baker (McKenzie); grandchildren, Zee, Gypse, Carter, Stevie, Emily, Janie, Mason, Dakota, and Mia; great granddaughter, Ryn; sisters, Cheryl Williams (Kenny) and Annette Ferril (Eddie); niece and nephews, Tabitha, Gabriel, and Caleb.
