Geraldine Plourd

Geraldine Plourd, age 95, was born on February 16, 1930, in Missouri City, Missouri, to Harve and Blanche Stephens, she passed away on July 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of Walter Plourd for 58 years. She was a proud Mom and a loving MeeMaw, known for creating a home that warmth and welcome. Whether she was stirring something on the stove or gently rocking a baby in her arms, her presence brought comfort to all. She found joy in the art of needlepoint, crocheting and embroidery, always working with her hands and her heart.

She leaves behind her three daughters Jo Jones, Joyce Robison (Larry), Lisa Sass (Brian); six grandchildren Amy Jenista, Chad Robison (Crystal), Jenny Eckersley, Stephen Harper (Chelsea), Wendi Dial, Kristi Wenger (Eric); as well as 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 1640 N. State Route 291, Liberty, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. At the conclusion of the service, Geraldine will be taken to Missouri City Cemetery at 506 Cemetery Hill Road, Missouri City, MO 64072 where she will be laid to rest in the town where she was born, beside her beloved husband Walter.
