Gladys “Faye” Dawson of Raymore, MO was born April 13, 1947 in Osceola, AR the daughter of Cecil Cade Bounds and Lula Mae Downs. She departed this life on May 16, 2024 surrounded by Love and family at the age of 77.
On March 28, 1963, Faye was united in marriage to William W. Dawson “Bill” in Carson City, Nevada. Faye worked for the IRS for 6 years and at the Marine Corps Finance Center/Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) for 30 years and retired in 2003. She lived in Drexel, MO from 1973 to 2018. Faye and Bill moved to Greenwood, MO in 2018.
Faye was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and five brothers and two sisters. Faye is survived by two sons: Timothy R. Dawson and wife Christina R., Lee’s Summit, MO, Sean M. Dawson and wife Donee’ A., Raymore, MO; 5 grandchildren, Lance, Emily, Hunter, Courtney, Madeline and two great grandsons Luke and Bennett.
A memorial visitation for family members and friends will be 6-8PM, Wednesday, May 22 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; private burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
