Goldie Louise Wilder was born on June 30th, 1926. She passed away at the age of 97 in her home on August 15th, 2023, in the presence of family.
Goldie was born to George and Gladys McGee and was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. She survived scarlet fever as a child and the Great Depression.
Goldie married the love of her life and had three beautiful daughters.
She worked hard at Marion Merrell Dow and retired in 1991. She loved roller skating, square dancing, traveling, and staying busy with quilting, knitting and crocheting.
She served her community as Treasurer of the Ruskin Hills homes association.
She was known as the "Duck Lady" for loving ducks.
Goldie was practical, tough as nails, full of love and had a great sense of humor. She valued the many friendships she made and loved her brother dearly.
Goldie survived cancer in 2020. Her wishes were for donations to be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Lee's Summit Medical Center.
Visitation will be 9AM, with services to follow at 10AM, Friday, August 25 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
