Ina Grace Bryan departed this earthly life on July 30, 2026 at home. Ina lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, service, and community.

Ina Grace Bryan, was born June 6, 1938 in Goff, Kansas to Charlie and Opal Pittenger. She spent most of her life in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1960, she married, Richard Bryan, and together they settled in the Kansas City area, where they raised their two children, a son and a daughter.

Ina’s professional career included service in the education system as a food service worker, where she was fondly known as the “Cafeteria Lady.” She had a special way of caring for students and was remembered for the homemade cookies she shared - a treat they thoroughly enjoyed.

Beyond her work, Ina was active in her church and community. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas for over 60 years. She faithfully participated in the Women’s Ministry, tirelessly baked cookies for the youth group every week, directed the Cherubs Choir, taught Sunday School and served on the membership, decorating, hospitality and comfort committees.

Family was always central to Ina’s life. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and rarely missed a game. She also enjoyed playing cards. Pitch was her favorite - which she learned at the ripe age of 4. Ina also enjoyed going to the movies with her best friends and going on many cruises.

Ina is survived by her husband, Richard Bryan; her son, Rick Bryan (Donna); her daughter, Kristen Golden (Kenny); her brother, Steven Pittenger (Barb); her sister, Phyllis Scott (Bob); five grandchildren, Derrick, Skylar, Destry (Stephanie), Sutton (Jenn) and Sienna; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Declan, Davin and Grace, and her very best friend, Margie Chancy, who has walked with her faithfully throughout their many years together. Ina loved Margie like a sister.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Rex Pittenger; and her sister, Pat Moulden.

Ina’s love was always unconditional and never spoke ill of anyone. She truly lived her life as a good and faithful servant for Jesus.

She will be absolutely missed by her friends and family.
