Obituary

James Kevin Green, 67, Kansas City, Mo passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday June 11th, 2026. Kevin was born December 8th, 1958 in Kansas City, Mo to James Donald and Dottie Lou (Madison) Green. He attended Winnetonka High School and when his dad started Rod-O-Matic Plumbing in 1964 he began a long career as a plumber.


Kevin's 1st marriage was to Deborah Miller and they welcomed 3 children; Brianna, Kaeli, and Garett. His 2nd marriage to Ramona (Russell) Green was in 1994 and 1 year later they welcomed a son, James Tyler Green.


Kevin is remembered as a hard working, humble, quick witted, memorable man. A one of a kind.

He enjoyed the outdoors and after racing in his youth regularly rode his dirt bikes, motorcycles, and UTVs. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains of Colorado and fishing in Canada with his dad.


Kevin never met a stranger and knew someone wherever he went. He was a talker and could always make you smile.


Kevin loved animals and staying busy with his garden, grill, and house remodels.


He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Ramona, children Brianna Green, Kaeli Green, Garett (Amber) Green, and Tyler Green. Grandchildren Cain, Thurlan, Addy, Grace, Blayz, Raynei, Lynk, Mylo, Charles, Kaelianne, Claire, Lucy, and Stella. Great grandchildren Aydin and Benjamin, and numerous cousins from here to Alabama.


To honor and celebrate Kevin's fun filled life, family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of life at Gladstone Elks Lodge #2376 Saturday June 20th, 2026 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Casual dress/No dress code. Kevin would want everyone to be comfortable.


The family looks forward to seeing all Kevin's long time friends and customers and will forever be grateful for their loyalty.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to NAWS Northland Animal Welfare Society or an animal shelter of your choice.
