John Preston Glock, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on November 19, 1964, John dedicated his life to his family and the faith he held close to his heart.
Throughout his life, John’s faith in Christ was his guide. His loving relationship with his parents set the foundation for the strong values he instilled in his children and grandchildren, always emphasizing the importance of kindness, hard work, and love.
In his earlier years John spent lots of time visiting his Mothers family farm in Arkansas. John graduated from Liberty High School where he competed in cross country and diving.
John found joy in carpentry and woodworking, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his creativity and skill. His love for Hot Rods and motorcycles echoed his adventurous spirit; there was rarely a dull moment when John was around.
John created countless memories with his family on Daulphin Island, where many unforgettable moments were shared. He enjoyed spending time with his family BBQing and participating in BBQ competitions with his father, his brother, and some close family friends.
As we remember John Preston Glock, Sr., we celebrate a life that was rich in love and laughter. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of compassion and joy. While we mourn his passing, we also rejoice in the memories created together, reminding us of the impact he had on our lives. John will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur J. (Mary Elizabeth) Glock.
John is survived in loving memory by his children: Jamie (David) Carr, and John Glock Jr.; grandchildren: Lucy, Emersyn, Daxton, and Preston; brother: Mitch (Deeann) Glock; sister: Kristen (Dan) Lentz; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may to be made to the Salvation Army.
