In Loving Memory of John H Rodabaugh 1940– 2025 It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John H Rodabaugh, age 85, on July 29, 2025. John passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, strength, and an unwavering love for music. 

Born on 4/11/1940 in Bronaugh, Missouri. John was a man of remarkable character and work ethic. From his early days in the army to his decades of hard work in various trades, John was known for his tireless commitment to his craft. No job was ever too big or too small for him, and he always gave his best effort with a quiet, steady determination. His reliability and passion for his work earned him the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him, and his work ethic became a cornerstone of his identity. 

While John’s devotion to his work was unmatched, it was his love for music that truly filled his heart and soul. He was known throughout his life as a lover of all kinds of music, from classic country to timeless rock ‘n’ roll. His passion for music was infectious, and it became a shared joy with his family and friends. Whether, enjoying a good record, or spending hours making memories at karaoke, John’s enthusiasm for music never waned. He believed that music had the power to connect people and lift spirits, and he cherished every opportunity to share his love for it with others. 

John was preceded in death by his wife, Lou, and his long-time beloved Linda, his brother Eddie and sister Betty. He leaves behind his brothers Wayne and Jody, his, son Jr Rodabaugh and 3 daughters Pamela, Gail and Dawna, his bonus children Cody, Jesse, Jackie, Robbie, Steven and Shane, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends and extended family who will remember him fondly for his kindness, humor, and work ethic. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025, at 10:00 am at Park Lawn Funeral Home in Kansas City. The family invites all who knew him to join in remembering John and sharing stories of his life. In honor of his love for music, attendees are encouraged to bring a song or memory to share.
