We invite family and friends to gather and honor John’s memory on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel (1640 Rt. 291 Hwy, Liberty, MO). Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by a time for reflections at 2:30 PM.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of John W. Salas, 59, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2026.
Born on July 18, 1966, to Frank and Emma Lou Salas, John is a lifelong Kansas City resident who built a world centered around the people he loved.
John & Karen Salas were married 24 years and had two daughters, Jianna and Alexa Salas. John was also the father to Anthony, Johnny (Layah) & Bella Salas, and Grandpa to A.J., Easton and Carson. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his children and grandchildren that he loved very much.
John is survived by his parents, Frank V. and Emma Lou Salas and siblings, Frank (Dottie), Henry, Teresa, Richard (Deb), Patsy (Chip), Margaret (Sam), Joe (Angie), Carmen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is proceeded by a sister-in-law, Martha and a brother-in-law, Jose.
John was an Assistant Manager of Agriculture for Hulcher Services, Inc. He loved his job and all the adventures that came with traveling. John was kindhearted and easy-going and someone that people felt instantly comfortable with, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was the life of the party and happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. John loved traveling to places like the Omaha Zoo, San Antonio, Texas, and the mountains of Colorado. He was a passionate sports fan and loved the Mizzou Tigers and The Kansas City Royals. He was a Knights of Columbus member and a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Visitation and Memorial Service to honor John’s memory, will be held Friday, April 3, 2026 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel (1640 Rt. 291 Hwy, Liberty, MO). Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30 PM, followed by a time for reflections at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers John's family request that donations be made to Shriner's Children Hospitals in his memory.

John was also an INTENSLY LOYAL Chiefs fan for life! In honor of him, he would expect nothing less than for everyone to say their goodbyes in their favorite team’s jersey – GO CHIEFS!!
