Johnny Lee Darity

          Johnny Lee Darity, 70, of Polo, MO, passed away July 21, 2023, at Liberty Hospital with his wife Terri at his side.

          Johnny was born July 28, 1952, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the middle of five children of Ben Paul and Thelma Delores (Pyles) Darity.  Along with his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by an infant sister, Billie Paul Darity, and brother, Jackie Darity. He was united in marriage to Terri Lynn Richmond on May 30, 1975, in Kansas City, MO.

          Johnny served in the US Air Force from 1971 until receiving honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant in 1980. He worked 35 years for TNEMEC before he retired in 2014.  Johnny’s passions included hunting and fishing, and he was a member of the North American Hunting Club.

          Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Terri; daughters, Jennifer Dawn Darity and Miranda Anne Darity-Cook (Scott); grandchildren, Tabitha (Steven), Robert, Dakota, Lyrek, William, and Andrew; great grandchildren, Bailey and Amelia; sisters, Mabel Fox and Birtha King; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
