Jose Luis Cruz

Jose Luis Cruz, 64, peacefully left this earth on September 10th at his home.

Jose was born on September 2, 1959, in Hermosillo,Sonora, Mexico to Jose Cruz Gomez and Alicia Murrieta Cruz. 

In 1992, Jose Luis moved from Mexico to California where he met and married the love of his life Nadine Camacho of El Paso, Texas. They set out for a new adventure and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. 

Jose was a long time contractor and owner of Cruz Painting. Although he had great skill in business and construction, his biggest talent was in the kitchen. He had a gift of feeding and serving others, but His greatest joy was his only daughter Catrina born in April of 1998. They were inseparable until his death.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Alicia, and sister, Estela Cruz Murrieta.

Jose is survived by his wife, Nadine, and daughter, Catrina, both  of Kansas City, MO. Sisters- Maria Antonia Cruz Murrieta (Juan Manuel Aguilar), Silvia Cruz Murrieta (Leopoldo Elizalde) and Luz Alicia Crus Murrieta, Brother -  Francisco Javier Cruz, eight in-laws, and 18 nephews and nieces.

There wasn't anything this man wouldn't do for others. He was a devoted husband; adoring Father, faithful brother; and loyal friend. No doubt, the world lost a good man. Que Descanse en Paz.

Visitation Thursday, Sep. 21 at 6:00p.m. Memorial Service to follow at 7:00pm at Park Lawn Northland, 1640 NE Cookingham, Liberty, Missouri. 

In Lieu of Flowers, the family is asking for donations to the GoFundMe account listed to help with expenses to support Jose Luis’ wife and daughter as they mourn this unexpected loss.
