Virginia Louise (Rhoades) Kankey, 87, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away June 14, 2022, at her home.

Ginny was born September 17, 1934, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, the youngest child of Samuel Franklin and Eunice (Hare) Rhoades. Ginny worked many years for the Sears Roebuck
Distribution Center before she retired.

Along with her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Delma "Dee" Kankey; younger brother, Remmel Rhoades; and sister, Willie Catherine "June" Sheridan.

Survivors include her daughter, Karyn Barnes (Bobby); grandchildren, Mackenzie Barnes (Kevin Kerns), Kelsey Barnes and Harrison Barnes; sister, Velda Miller; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; and friends including her beloved Shih Tzu Bella.
