Katherine Miller, 88, passed peacefully away on April 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at 1:38 am. She was born on March 17, 1936, in Lakin, Kansas, to Carl Davison and Pauline Porter Davison. Katherine was a cherished wife to her late husband, John Miller, and was preceded in death by her two brothers, Gordon Dale Davison and Don Davison, as well as her three sisters, Velma Kay Johnson, Lois Burks, and Edith Ann Davison. She is survived by her four children, David Miller, Earl Miller, Anna Caldwell (Robert Caldwell), and Carla Castellano, along with six grandchildren, Michael Caldwell, Carl Miller, Carrie Adams, John David Miller, Janice Caldwell, Mahala Lee Miller-Anglero, and Jason Henness, as well as nine great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind several nephews, nieces, and countless friends whom she considered family.
Katherine Miller was known for her quick wit, willingness to lend a helping hand, and her unwavering love and support for her friends and family. She will be fondly remembered for the positive impact she had on others, her contributions to the community, and her enthusiasm for playing cards.
Throughout her professional life, Katherine worked as a dedicated caregiver for over forty years. Her fun-loving and on-the-go nature endeared her to the people she cared for, and she was highly regarded for her compassionate dedication.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoyed spending time playing cards with friends and family, embarking on spontaneous adventures such as going on walks or bus rides around town. She was known for her fearlessness in speaking her mind and her quick-witted comebacks. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
A celebration of Katherine Miller's life will be held to honor her memory.
