Keely Lolita Griffin was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 11,1963 to Olivia S. and Jack C. Griffin. She attended Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools and graduated from Central High School, in 1981. As a working adult, Keely pursued higher education and earned a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Sciences from the University of Central Missouri.
A woman of unmatched work ethic, Keely enjoyed a distinguished career in the Federal Government, achieving success in several government agencies, including the Department of Labor, OSHA, GSA, and the Social Security Administration – Office of the Inspector General. After forty-one years of dedicated service, Keely retired on December 31, 2025.
Outside of her professional life, Keely embraced her love for travel, exploring destinations around the world. She was an avid walker and cherished spending time with her family. Keely accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully served at Miracle Valley Church alongside her mother and brother, Arlindell.
Wherever Keely went, she made a statement in her fashion attire and speech!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olivia S. and Jack C. Griffin, and her brother, Arlindell Brooks. Keely leaves to cherish in memory her sisters:
Arlivia Kerr-White (Melvin), Staria Henderson (Darryl), Felicity Carr (Pernell); her brother, Charleston Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will forever remember her warmth, strength, and devotion.
