Kenneth E. Bost, a venerable architect and cherished member of the community, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 30, 1938, Kenneth dedicated his life to both his professional pursuits and his steadfast devotion to his faith and community.

Retiring as an architect, he became a Principal in the esteemed architectural firm, Warner-Nease-Bost, where his influence and expertise were felt profoundly over the last twelve years of his distinguished career. Kenneth’s commitment to his profession was matched only by his profound impact on the lives of those he served within his church community.

Education held a special place in Kenneth's heart; he attended Metropolitan Junior College for two years, ultimately earning a diploma in Pre Engineering. His pursuit of knowledge laid the foundation for his future endeavors and informed his dedication to his profession and community service.

Kenneth was a founding member of the Liberty Baptist Church, where he played an instrumental role in shaping its early days. His exemplary service was marked by numerous contributions, including serving as a director of the youth department, a Sunday School teacher for high school age students, and later, ordination as Deacon. Kenneth also assumed the roles of director of the adult department and teacher of a young married class for a decade, showcasing his dedication to fostering faith among the younger generations. He was pivotal in starting the Royal Ambassadors and faithfully engaged as a money counter and eventually Financial Chairman, demonstrating his stewardship and commitment to the church’s mission.

Kenneth later in life discovered a fondness for the dulcimer. He was self taught, often playing to the congregation at churches, as well the nursing homes for the elderly.

Beyond these accomplishments, Kenneth was a devoted member of the Liberty Baptist Church, where he actively participated in the Saturday adult Sunday School class. In recent years, he relocated to Nebo Baptist Church, continuing his spiritual journey through weekly prayer meetings and Bible Study groups. His leadership extended to serving on various search committees for Senior and Interim Pastors, reflecting a deep dedication to the spiritual guidance of his fellow congregants.

In every facet of his life, Kenneth epitomized the values of hard work, humility, and service. His legacy as a devoted husband, community leader, and faithful servant of the Church will be felt for generations to come.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife: Teresa (Terry) Bost, as well as his parents: Franklin and Kathryn Bost.

He is survived by his loving family; Son: Mike (Patty) Bost, Son: Chris and Tina Bost, granddaughter: Coleen Bost, grandson: Connor Bost, sister: Helen Freeman, and many other family and friends.
