Kyla Jo Ewbank was born October 22, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri. She died peacefully at home in Blue Springs, Missouri on August 27, 2025, following a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. The last place Kyla was employed was Fresnius Dialysis Care where she loved working with her patients, teaching some to do dialysis at home. She also loved working part-time for the Royals, Chiefs, and Starlight Theater, and enjoyed the challenging job of driving for Uber.
Kyla gave her life to Jesus at the age of eight and was active as an adult at Connection Point Church in Raytown, MO. Music was always an important part of her life. She had a beautiful voice, singing in her church and school choirs. Through the years, she sang in Youth for Christ ensembles, her sister’s and a friend’s wedding, her aunt and uncle’s fiftieth wedding anniversary, and her uncle’s funeral.
